Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Demo Auto Kelapa Gading ("we") collects through this site, why, on what basis, who it is shared with, and your rights over it, under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection.

Who manages your data

Demo Auto Kelapa Gading is the controller of the personal data collected through this site. The site, visit records and our messaging are run with the help of Simpulx, a platform provider that processes data on our behalf.

Data we collect

  • Forms. The name and WhatsApp number you enter in a test drive, service, credit, trade-in or promotion form, and the details of that request (the car, variant, colour, day and time, plate number, mileage, the credit figures you chose, the car you want to trade in).
  • When you contact us on WhatsApp. Your WhatsApp number and profile name, the message, and the car or service you ask about. A message opened from a button on this site already names what you were looking at, so our team can answer faster.
  • Visit records. The pages and cars you open, the buttons you tap, the site or ad you came from (including campaign parameters such as utm, gclid and fbclid), your device and browser type, your device's time zone, and an approximate city from your IP address. These are kept with a random identifier in your browser's storage, and linked to your number when you send a form or a WhatsApp message from this site.
  • Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. Explained in their own sections below.

How the data is used and on what basis

  • To answer and follow up on your request about cars, prices, credit, test drives, service and trade-ins. The basis is your own request before any agreement.
  • To measure and improve our site and our ads. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages and cars draw interest and which channels bring visitors. The data is limited to behaviour on this site, is not sold, and you can refuse it as described below.
  • To show our ads again to people who visited this site (retargeting, with Google and Meta), and to measure which ads bring enquiries. The basis is our legitimate interest in reaching people who have already shown interest; you can refuse it as described below.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 from Google. It runs when a page opens and sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies (each kept for about 2 years). It sends Google the pages opened, the buttons tapped, where the visit came from, device and browser type, and an approximate city. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google's advertising features are on: Google may use this data to show our ads again to people who visited this site and to measure our ads.

Meta Pixel

This site uses the Meta Pixel from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It runs when a page opens, sets the _fbp cookie (kept for about 3 months), and sends Meta the pages you open and the actions you take (for example a WhatsApp tap or a form), so we can show our ads again to people who visited this site and measure which ads bring enquiries. A contact through a form or WhatsApp may also be reported to Meta from our server (Conversions API); that report carries your phone number in hashed form (SHA-256, not readable as a number), your IP address and your browser's user agent. Meta may link this with your Facebook or Instagram account under its own data policy.

How to refuse. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel do not run for a browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also block or delete this site's cookies in your browser settings, install Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and manage how Meta uses it in the Ad preferences of your Facebook or Instagram account. Refusing does not limit the site.

Third-party content

Videos are YouTube videos that load (from youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play, with their thumbnail images from YouTube. The branch map is a Google Maps embed that loads only when you open it. When they load, their providers may receive your IP address and browser data and set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. It may be passed to:

  • leasing companies and banks, only when you apply for credit and so that they can assess it;
  • Simpulx, the provider of the site platform, visit records and message management;
  • Google, for Google Analytics, Google's advertising, YouTube and the Maps embed;
  • Meta, for the Meta Pixel, the Conversions API and advertising on Facebook and Instagram;
  • WhatsApp (Meta), the messaging service you use to contact us;
  • the authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside Indonesia.

How long data is kept

  • Forms, conversations and contact details: as long as needed to handle your request and transaction, then deleted or anonymised unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
  • Visit records: up to 12 months after the last visit.
  • Google Analytics and Meta: for the retention periods set in those services.
  • Data in your browser (the random identifier, your chosen branch, the cars you picked to compare, the name and number you entered so you do not type them twice): until you clear it in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to be informed of who we are and the basis and purpose of processing your data; to access your personal data and obtain a copy; to complete, update or correct inaccurate data; to ask us to stop processing, or to delete or destroy your data; to ask us to suspend or restrict processing; and to withdraw consent you have given. Send your request through WhatsApp on this site. We may ask you to show that the number or data is yours before acting on it, and we respond within the time set by the regulations.

Security

We and our providers use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to the staff who need it. If a personal data protection failure affects you, we will notify you as the regulations require.

We may update this policy when the way the site works changes. The date of the last update is shown above.
